ANNEKE VAN GIERSBERGEN Performs With ANATHEMA On Chile's RADIO FUTURO; Audio, Video Available
August 6, 2011On July 30, U.K. atmospheric rock band ANATHEMA and Dutch singer Anneke Van Giersbergen's (AGUA DE ANNIQUE, ex-THE GATHERING) took part in an interview and acoustic performance on Chile's Radio Futuro. Anneke's new CD was recorded at Ultrasound Studios in Braga, Portugal with producer Daniel Cardoso. A late 2011/early 2012 release is expected.
ANNEKE VAN GIERSBERGEN & AGUA DE ANNIQUE's third album, "In Your Room", was released on October 30, 2009. The 12-song effort was written entirely by Anneke except for two tracks: "Just Fine" was co-written with Devin Townsend and "Adore" was composed by AGUA DE ANNIQUE bassist Jacques de Haard and Cyril Crutz.
AGUA DE ANNIQUE has released three albums so far: "Air" (2007),"Pure Air" (2009) and "In Your Room" (2009).
"We're Here Because We're Here", the eighth studio album from ANATHEMA, received its long-overdue U.S. release on June 7 on The End Records. A special, limited-edition deluxe edition includes three bonus tracks, a seven-inch single with two unreleased tracks, and a DVD 5.1 Surround Sound version of the album, along with the stereo version, both mixed by Steven Wilson of PORCUPINE TREE.
"We're Here Because We're Here" was originally released in May 2010 via Kscope Records. The self-produced CD was mixed by Steven Wilson (PORCUPINE TREE) and features the exquisite string arrangements of Dave Stewart (STEWART/GASKIN, PORCUPINE TREE) and mastering skills of legendary Jon Astley (THE WHO, LED ZEPPELIN). The song "Angels Walk Among Us" features subtle backing vocals by Ville Valo of HIM.
